Awards recognize your service milestones and contributions. They come in two flavors: built-in milestones that every volunteer earns automatically, and custom awards granted by organizations you serve.
Built-in milestone awards
These unlock automatically as you accumulate verified hours across all organizations:
- First Hour — your very first verified service hour.
- 25 Hours — a quarter of the way to a major milestone.
- 50 Hours — halfway to the century mark.
- 100 Hours — a major achievement recognized universally.
- 250 Hours, 500 Hours, 1000 Hours — for the most dedicated volunteers.
Organization awards
Organizations can create custom awards for their volunteers. These might be granted for completing a training program, hitting a custom field milestone (e.g., 500 meals served), or outstanding performance. You'll receive a notification when you earn one.
Go to Profile → Edit → Featured Awards and pin your most meaningful award to the top of your profile. This is the first thing organizations see when they view your profile.
Awards are great for college applications. Export your profile with awards visible to show admissions committees a visual record of your service milestones.
