The report builder lets you create customized exports with exactly the columns, filters, and aggregations you need. Perfect for grant reporting, end-of-year summaries, and board presentations.
Building a report

Open Reports → New Report
From the left nav, go to Reports and click New Report.

Choose columns
Pick which fields to include: volunteer name, date, hours, organization, activity description, custom fields, verifier name, etc.

Set filters
Narrow by date range, status (Verified only, or all), volunteer group, or specific custom field values.

Add aggregations (optional)
Sum total hours, count unique volunteers, average hours per volunteer — these appear as summary rows.

Export
Click Export as Excel or Export as PDF. The file downloads immediately.
Saving report templates
Save any report configuration as a template. Next month (or next grant cycle), re-run the same template with updated dates — no need to rebuild the columns and filters.
Create a report template for each funder with their exact required columns. When reporting time comes, change the date range, click Export, and you're done in 30 seconds.
Toggle PDF export for a polished, branded document with your totals and charts on the cover page. Great for board meetings and stakeholder updates.
