Verified hours are read-only for volunteers, but Owners and Managers can edit them when corrections are needed. Every change is captured in the permanent audit trail.
When to edit verified hours
- A volunteer reports an error (wrong duration, wrong date).
- You discover a discrepancy during a report review.
- A volunteer submits a formal correction request (see below).
How to edit
Open the verified log and click Edit. Make your changes and save. The audit trail records who made the edit, when, and the before/after values for every field changed.
Every change to a verified log is logged with your name, timestamp, and old vs. new values. Double-check before saving — there's no undo, only another audited edit.
If a volunteer reports an error, ask them to use the Request Correction button on their log. This creates a documented paper trail of the correction request before you make the change.
