Moving from paper logs or another system? The bulk upload feature lets you import hundreds of service logs from a CSV or Excel file in one pass.

A short walkthrough video is coming soon for this step.

    Step-by-step

    1. 1

      Download the template

Go to Service Logs → Import. Click Download Template to get the CSV with the correct columns.

    2. 2

      Fill in the spreadsheet

Each row is one service log: volunteer name/email, date, hours, description, and any custom fields your org requires.

    3. 3

      Upload the file

Drag the completed file into the upload area or click Browse.

    4. 4

      Review validation results

Yura checks every row. Errors (wrong date format, missing required fields, unknown volunteers) are flagged with row numbers and reasons.

    5. 5

      Fix and re-upload if needed

Download the error report, fix the flagged rows in your spreadsheet, and re-upload.

    6. 6

      Choose to auto-verify

Check 'Auto-verify on import' if these are pre-confirmed hours (e.g., historical paper logs). Otherwise they'll land in the approval queue as Pending.

    Auto-verify for historical imports

When importing hours you've already confirmed on paper, use the auto-verify checkbox to skip the approval queue. This is the fastest way to backfill your records.

    Date format matters

Use MM/DD/YYYY format for dates. Incorrect date formats are the #1 cause of validation errors. Check your spreadsheet before uploading.

Pro tip: Start with a small test

Upload 5-10 rows first to make sure your format is right. Then upload the full batch. Much less painful than debugging 500 rows at once.
