    • How it works

Not every organization is on Yura. When you log hours for an outside org, Yura sends your supervisor a one-click verification email. They don't need an account.

A short walkthrough video is coming soon for this step.

    How it works

    1. 1

      Start a new log

Open Service Logs → Log Hours.

    2. 2

      Choose External Verifier

Instead of picking an organization, select 'External Verifier' from the dropdown.

    3. 3

      Enter supervisor details

Type your supervisor's name and their email address. This is the person who can confirm you were there.

    4. 4

      Fill in the rest

Date, duration, description — same as any other log.

    5. 5

      Submit

Yura sends an email to your supervisor with a link. They click Verify and your hours are confirmed. No sign-up needed on their end.

    Use a real supervisor email

Verifications sent to your own email address are automatically flagged and won't count. Use the actual supervisor who can vouch for your service.

    Give your supervisor a heads-up

Tell your supervisor to expect an email from Yura before you submit. Unexpected verification emails sometimes land in spam, especially from school email systems.

    For students

If your school requires all hours to be verified, external verifier hours count the same as in-platform hours once the supervisor clicks Verify. Your school admin can see which hours were verified externally.
